Japanese green tea.

Gyokuro translates to “Jade Dew” in Japanese — a fitting name for the vivid green colour of both the leaves and brewed tea.

Unlike many everyday green teas, Gyokuro is grown under shaded canopies before harvest. The result is a deeply coloured leaf and a remarkably concentrated flavour: fresh and grassy, but also rich, smooth and distinctly umami.

It’s considered one of Japan’s most prized styles of green tea and is a wonderful choice for tea drinkers who want to move beyond flavoured blends and experience the character of exceptional Japanese loose leaf tea.

Gyokuro deserves a gentler brew. Use water below boiling and allow the leaves time to open slowly; cooler water helps showcase the tea’s natural sweetness, savoury depth and smooth finish.

Can’t go back to any other green tea

Bought several estate blends to try years ago. Wouldn’t you know it I love this one. Haven’t purchased another blend since. This is the only tea I can drink now. Smooth and grassy. Absolutely delicious!
