Strawberry & Hibiscus Smoothie Recipe - Tealish Fine Teas

Strawberry & Hibiscus Smoothie Recipe

At tealish, we believe that tea is not limited to traditional hot beverages but can also be used as a versatile ingredient in exciting recipes. Our aim is to help you explore the endless possibilities of tea-infused concoctions, and this smoothie is a perfect example of that.

The combination of Strawberry and Hibiscus is like Summer in a glass! With creamy plant-based Yoggu yogurt for some extra protein.

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup hibiscus tea, chilled
  • 1/4 cup yogurt (Greek yogurt or dairy-free alternative like Yoggu)
  • Protein or Collagen powder (optional)

Step 1: Brew the Hibiscus Tea Start by brewing a strong cup of hibiscus tea. Steep the tea in hot water for 5-7 minutes, allowing the vibrant flavors to infuse fully. Once brewed, set the tea aside to cool. For a quicker option, you can also refrigerate the tea until chilled.

Step 2: Prepare the Smoothie In a blender, combine the frozen strawberries, chilled hibiscus tea, and yogurt. The frozen strawberries will add a luscious texture to the smoothie while giving it a natural sweetness. The hibiscus tea will infuse a delightful tartness and a beautiful red colour. Use a spoon to add some extra yogurt to the sides of the glass for a marble effect.

Step 3: Blend and Enjoy Blend all the ingredients together until smooth and creamy. If you prefer a thinner consistency, you can add a splash of chilled hibiscus tea or water. Once blended to perfection, pour the smoothie into a glass and garnish it with a fresh strawberry or a sprinkle of hibiscus petals for an extra touch of elegance.
