LOOSE LEAF TEA / HIBISCUS TEA BENEFITS
WHAT IS HIBISCUS TEA?
Hibiscus, also known as Hibiscus sabdariffa and can be referred to as “Sorrell tea” or “sour tea”. Hibiscus flowers grow in warm tropical and subtropical climates.
A common use for Hibiscus is brewing tea. The hibiscus buds (called calyxes) are dried and used to make hot or cold teas. The dried hibiscus buds create a bright red infusion with a tart and slightly fruity flavour.
Hibiscus tea can be enjoyed sweetened, unsweetened, with added spices or fresh citrus.
This tea is naturally caffeine free and boasts a tonne of medicinal properties.
